Cream Cheese Pound Cake

This rich cake is made with a pound of butter and a package of cream cheese. Sugar, eggs, vanilla and cake flour are also used, along with black walnuts for flavor and crunch.
Ingredients
- 2 cups butter, softened
- 1 8-oz. pkg. cream cheese
- 3 cups sugar
- 6 eggs
- 2 Tbsp. vanilla
- 3 cups cake flour (or regular flour*)
- 1 1/2 cups black walnuts

Method
Whip butter and cream cheese together in large mixing bowl. Gradually add sugar and beat until thoroughly combined. Add eggs, one at a time, beating until well mixed. Add vanilla. Blend in flour gradually, then fold in black walnuts. Grease and flour a 10-inch Bundt pan or tube pan. Spoon batter into prepared pan and bake at 325 degrees for 1 hour to 1 hour and 15 minutes. Let cool in pan for 15 minutes, then invert on plate. Serve warm or cool. *1 cup MINUS 2 tablespoons of regular flour will equal 1 cup of cake flour.
Notes: It's good without the black walnuts, too.
