Norweigian Gold Cake

This cake is quick and easy, there are very few ingredients and it is simple to prepare.
Ingredients
- 1/2 lb butter
- 1 1/2 cups sifted flour
- 5 eggs
- 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 1/3 cups sugar
- 1/2 tsp almond extract

Method
Place butter and flour in a mixing bowl. Add eggs one at a time, creaming the mixture. Mix together sugar, baking powder, and salt, and add gradually to the creamed mixture and then add almond extract. Pour into a greased tube form pan and bake for 1 hour at 350 degree oven.
