|3 cups||Sugar Cookie Crumbs[process Cookies In Food Processor],1-cup Unsalted Butter[softened],2-cups Sugar,6-eggs,1/2-cup Flour[all-purpose],1/2-cup Half &half,1-tablespoon Vanilla,2-tsp. Almond Extract,2-cups[sliced]almonds[4-2 Oz. Packages].|
|Glaze:1-cup Powdered Sugar,2-tablespoons Milk,1-tsp.vanilla|
Cream butter and sugar.Gradually add eggs one at a time.Add flour to cookie mixture. To butter mixture,add half&half and cookie crumbs,alternating ingredients.Add vanilla,almond extract,and almonds.Put in a tube pan with removeable bottom that has been greased well.It is a good idea to cut parchment paper to fit bottom of pan also as this cake tends to stick to the pan.Bake 2-hours at 300 degrees.While still in pan,put cake on rack to cool,then take out of pan to cool on rack.This can also be baked in 3 small or medium loaf pans but cooking time needs to be reduced by half. Mix powdered sugar,milk and vanilla together and drizzle over cooled cake. Can also just dust cake with powdered sugar.
